Four-time world champion Tuf Cooper of Decatur, Texas, is the first champion crowned at the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo.

Cooper placed in two of three go-rounds and finished his Tuesday by roping three steers in a cumulative time of 38.4 seconds to claim the championship buckle. He earned $4,957 and will have an opportunity to earn more as he competes in tie-down roping later this week.
