In less than three weeks, the top players in the game of rodeo will flock to Las Vegas for the 52nd Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
The arena, the Thomas & Mack Center, will host about 18,000 fans for each of the 10 go-rounds, but there will be tens of thousands more people in town for the festivities. That’s why Las Vegas loves hosting the NFR.
Where do you stay while in Las Vegas?
Do you go to the PRCA Convention at the South Point?
Do you go to the nightly buckle presentations at the South Point?
What’s the best part of the NFR in Las Vegas?
What is your favorite NFR memory?

I’ll get it started:
Where do you stay while in Las Vegas? I’ve stayed all over and never in the same place twice. This year will be one of the older casinos.
Do you go to the PRCA Convention at the South Point? This will be my third convention. You learn some interesting stuff and get to meet up with some great contacts.
Do you go to the nightly buckle presentations at the South Point? I went to the buckle presentation when it was at the Gold Coast, but I haven’t been since it moved to the South Point.
What’s the best part of the NFR in Las Vegas? Seeing the tens of thousands of folks in town for the event, even though only 18,000 fit inside the Thomas & Mack Center.
What is your favorite NFR memory? Billy Etbauer’s 10th-round winning ride on Keslers’ Cool Alley in 2004. It was a record-tying 93 points, but that might not have been enough. It was the greatest bronc ride I’ve ever seen, and there are many others who agree with it.
